Senior Quality Engineer

A.P. PLASMAN Corporation is a full service supplier to the automotive OEMs with its highly automated manufacturing facilities and production of world-class products.  We are currently recruiting for a new member to join our  Quality team as Senior Quality Engineer.  In this role, the successful candidate will report directly to the Quality Manager.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

·         Act as resource to Quality Engineer and QA Technicians regarding job requirements

·         Identify new opportunity and efficiency gains within Quality area

·         Act as designate to Manager in absence

·         Participate and provide APQP support with customer and supplier PPAP activities.

·         Monitor Customer electronic PRR and HTR systems daily and ensure on-time response.

·         Track and report monthly Responsiveness to Customer Concerns

·         Monitor and improve supplier performance, issue and track supplier NCMRs.

·         Maintain control of customer return process including log, part analysis, report generation and initiation of 8-Ds

·         Maintain Fast Response board and follow up on open issues and drive them to closure.

·         Train all Quality Auditors on proper inspection techniques, record completion, gauging information and other training areas

·         Conduct special testing (e.g. Ultrasonic Gauging) for assembly

·         Gather and/or analyze data for continuous improvement activities and the reduction of rejects

·         Assure documentation for packaging, processing, identification and control of product is readily available to all assembly personnel

·         Assist in training of production operators

·         Regularly review the contents of the quarantine area and consult with the QA manager for disposition

·         Maintain QSB initiatives such as Layered Audits, Fast Response and Verification Stations.

·         Perform regular internal system audits of the quality operating system in accordance with internal audit procedures and ISO/TS 16949:2002 guidelines for auditing

·         Maintain customer liaison as required

·         Any other duties as defined by the Quality Assurance Manager

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

       ·         Must possess a Recognized Engineering or Technical Diploma in related area or equivalent.

       ·         Preference will be give to candidates who hold certification CQE designation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

•   Must have at least 4-7 years within a quality leader capacity in an automotive environment
•  Must have good communication skills, both written & verbal
•   Familiar with Quality Management System and Standards (TS 16949, ISO-14001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, ISO 9000)
•   Must have proven leading in the areas of quality and teambuilding
