SALARY RANGE: $90,845 - $120,139 (pending review)
HIRING RANGE: $90,845 - $115,948 (pending review)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor, Employee & Labour Relations contributes and provides direction on a broad range of labour and employee operational functions of the department in consultation with the Manager, Employee & Labour Relations as required. The incumbent leads Human Resource initiatives and will work collaboratively with all Board Administration, Leadership, Union groups and staff to ensure compliance with Collective Agreements, applicable legislation, Board policy and procedures. The Supervisor, Employee & Labour Relations supervises associated Human Resources staff on the Employee & Labour Relations team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a four (4) year degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or a three (3) year degree combined with one (1) year post-secondary program in human resources or equivalent.
- Professional designation (e.g., CHRL or equivalent) an asset.
- Five (5) years of progressive Employee and Labour Relations experience in a unionized environment is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in employee and labour relations, human resource practices and processes, negotiations, grievances/arbitrations, investigations, human rights, workplace harassment, and relevant provincial and federal legislation.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships and provide exemplary service to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative, research, analytical, organizational, problem solving and strategic thinking skills with proven ability to influence change.
